WHAT: A free short-term book club reading books about witches while enjoying a soup (witch’s brew) luncheon

WHEN: 1st & 3rd Monday, Sept-Dec., Noon-1:00 p.m.

WHERE: Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry, 416 E. Main, Locust Grove OK

WHO: Any interested teens and adults—Space is limited to 15 people so register now!

WHY: This book club accompanies the new ROMP exhibit opening October 21, Her Kind: The Witch in History, Popular Culture and Poetry. We will discuss a variety of books in different genres for various ages. All books are appropriate for teenagers and up.

Our goal is to explore the symbolism, meaning and history of witches as they have appeared in our public discourse, institutions, folklore, film and TV history, and literature. ROMP Director Shaun Perkins, former high school teacher and college professor, will facilitate each discussion.

HOW: Come by the museum, Thu-Sat, 10:00-5:00 to reserve a spot in the club. Registration must be in person. You can check out the books for free, and they will need to be returned at the end of each meeting. The lunch is also free. We are not able to adapt the menu for special needs. You may bring your own lunch if you like.
