ROMP was honored to have received items on loan from Yevgeny Yevtushenko’s family for a small exhibit on the great poet. The exhibit was christened on April 15, 2023, at Wonder City Wordfest, where Yevtushenko’s son Zhenya Yevtushenko spoke about his father’s legacy and his poetry. The exhibit ended on Sept. 9, 2023, though a few items belonging to ROMP will remain on permanent display.
The exhibit included signed posters, books, memorabilia, his writing chair and a unique patterned shirt that he loved to wear. The exhibit is on permanent display in the foyer of the museum.
