ROMP’s current exhibit is Poetry Autograph Books: 1880-1970. Come see it!

You may visit ROMP anytime you like. Call or email ahead of time to make sure the lights are on and the dust bunnies corralled. If you would like to come for an event, we have 3 yearly events, plus occasional special ones. Check ’em out below. –Shaun  (918) 864-9152, rompoetry@gmail.com

 

2016 Events

April 9                  ROMPfest                           2-5 p.m.

Celebrate National Poetry Month with this annual festival devoted to writing, reading and sharing poetry. The special theme is Your Poetry Autograph, and all visitors will receive a free autograph book. Special guests include Leslie Hannah, Jessica Isaacs, and Roxann Yates. Sept. 24             Autumn Movement          5-9 p.m.

Celebrate the return of autumn with autumn poetry, drumming, rhythm and song. This event will focus on the poetry found in music. Special guest to be announced. Bring a musical instrument as we will be calling in the rhythms of the season with song and poetry.

Nov. 19              ROMP Tellabration                       6-8 p.m.

Celebrate storytelling with the national event of Tellabration. Join ROMP for poetry and storytelling around a campfire with smores and more. Special guest is Cherokee storyteller Sequoyah Guess.

2017 Events

April 8                ROMPfest

Celebrate National Poetry Month with this annual festival devoted to writing, reading and sharing poetry. Part of the festivities will include the announcement of the Oklahoma Poem Contest winners. The theme and special guests have not been determined yet, but like ROM Poetry on Facebook to stay up to date on this event.

EVENTS are free though donations are accepted.
