This ongoing class meets twice a week in Locust Grove. It involves practice in stretching, breathing exercises, self-defense moves and the Chon-Ji form. There is also a poetry component! There is no fighting or sparring. Everything is non-contact.
It is free of charge and open to any area adults. Come check it out and see what you think. No risk. No obligation! You don’t have to know anything about any of the above techniques.
Mondays & Thursdays, 9-10 a.m. at the Grand Theater courtyard, downtown stoplight
NOTE: In case of bad/cold weather, the class meets in the VFW, 116 N. Broadway (1 block north of courtyard)
The course is taught by Master Paul Flaherty, who has many years of experience and teaching practice in various martial arts disciplines. We will learn the breathing exercises, known as Pa Tuan Tsin and the Chon-Ji form, as Flaherty learned it from Master David Fishinghawk.
A YouTube video of Master Paul doing the form can be viewed HERE.
A signed registration form is required before you can participate in the class. Forms are available at the class when it starts or you can download one here and bring it with you.
