The Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry exists to provide people with an experience of poetry. We welcome visits at all times of the day and night, no matter the day or night.
The museum is normally open from dawn to dusk, but if you show up, and it is locked, please call the number on the door and we will get it open for you.
You can call or email ahead of time if you know you are coming to ensure ROMP will be open and waiting for you. We want you to experience ROMP and to have an experience of poetry.
The museum is located 2 miles west of Locust Grove on 438 Rd. between 550 Rd. and 560 Rd. All county roads are clearly marked. It is easy to find. You can also use the Google map below–it can be downloaded to your phone.
