Scholar: Ruth Brelsford
Ruth Askew Brelsford is a retired theatre/speech instructor, having taught and directed theatre for 30 years in public school, community, and college venues. She is now a CASA volunteer and teaches creative writing at the local minimum security prison. She also mediates in both Small Claims Court and Child Placement cases. Ruth is the founder and president of the Latimer County Arts Council. Ruth lives with her husband and many pets and a few chickens in a log cabin in the San Bois Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma where she is trying to write her way out of a Covid funk.
