State Wildflower Day

In 1988 to help promote statewide beautification the legislature adopted Senate Concurrent Resolution 103, proclaiming every third Saturday of May “State Wildflower Day.” In honor of this special day–and since our 2021 exhibit is on Oklahoma’s wildflowers in poetry–we would like to celebrate this day with the release of our exhibit book, with original artwork by Alysha Little.

Join us for a book signing event to honor the artwork of Alysha Little. Alysha created the logo for this year’s exhibit Firewheel Folk and the illustrations for the exhibit book.

For a donation of $5.00 or more, get a copy of the book and have your name entered in a drawing for a small canvas print of one of the 15 pieces of art from the book.

You do not have to be present to enter the drawing, but those who are present and have their names drawn will get to choose which print they want.

Donations can be made at ROMP anytime on May 15, from 10:00-4:00 p.m. Names will start being drawn for the prints at 3:30 p.m.

ONLINE: You can also donate online and have your name put into the drawing anytime up til noon on May 15. Books will be mailed to online donors ($20 minimum donation), and prints will also be mailed to anyone who donates through the website and whose name is drawn during the event.
