Enjoy a creative morning at the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry and design a poetry-art chair. ROMP has several on display featuring the works of Whitman, Dickinson, Sexton, Yeats, Bukowski and more. Join ROMP director Shaun Perkins, who will facilitate a museum tour, give instructions and provide all materials, for this fun and inspiring workshop.
The workshop will be Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and will take place at 
the ROMP Shop, which is at 6603 S. 438 Rd, 2 miles west of Locust Grove. A tour of the museum will start the event and then instruction and creation will begin. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
The cost of the workshop is $25 if we provide the chair and $15 if you provide the chair. All materials for decorating, painting, and creating your chair will be provided. Payment must be made in advance to ensure there are enough participants for the workshop.
The deadline for registering and paying is Sept. 18.
