Way back in the 80’s, in the time before the interwebs, my college friends and I threw a birthday party for Lloyd, a guy who loved Spam. I’m not kidding: he ate it almost every day, and not because he had to. We made an elaborate Spam boat decorated with marshmallow and cocktail toothpick rigging on a sea of blue-food-coloring-tinged icing. No one could have imagined that the meat product would become one of the most common terms online. Lloyd, did you know?

On any given day, I have 20-30 spam comments on this website. They are almost all from insurance and medical companies. I find some of them poetic. Putting them together is also kind of fun . . . and not as poetic. But you would think I hung the moon just reading this stuff. I mean, I helped someone smash through a wall after all! Thus I give you the spam comment poem of the day, each written exactly as they were in the order they appeared: “Thankity You!”–Shaun
